The EnviroComp Institute is the international institute
and software laboratory dedicated to the study of environmental sciences
and pollution phenomena. In particular, the institute promotes the development
and use of computer methods and software tools for the study, simulation,
and forecasting of environmental phenomena and pollution.
The EnviroComp Institute was founded in October 1996. The EnviroComp Institute is an Internet-based, non-profit institute which fully operates via telecommunications through the Internet.
The mission of the EnviroComp Institute is to use
the most advanced, computer- and Internet-based tools to:
 establish
a link among scientists, managers, and engineers involved in environmental
sciences and environmental computing;
monitor and perform R&D activities, exchange of information
and software, distribution of books and reports, organization of conferences;
produce and distribute a new generation of eletronic books in environmental sciences; and
